STUNNING MEISSEN CUP AND SAUCER PAINTED IN LILAC SCALE&PiICTURE VIGNETTS 19CA
Here is rare 19th century Meissen Porcelain Cup and Saucer with gold vignettes of the gathering scene in front of the magestic castles with the Lilac Scale Porzellan Tasse borders. Both the cup and saucer have handpainted trios of 2 ladies and a gentleman enjoying themselves in front of the castles.
The cup is on the 3 animal feet in gold with the handle of intervining golden snakes (that what i think) and 3 small bouquets of various flowers. The saucer in addition to the trio painting and scale borders has 4 small bouequets of flowers.
And the best is the superb combination of lilac shades scale trim with nice scroll work and gilding on the rims and inside the vignettes. Also extensive gilding on the cup handle and feet. The plate is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with one incision in the middle of the swords for quality control - standard. The saucer also has an impressed'g' - that what it looks like. DO NOT MISS THIS GREAT CHANCE! I tried my best with the pictures. The cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no visible wear and. The saucer is about 5.5 inches (14 cm) in diameter.The cup is 3.25 inches (8 cm) tall and 2.75 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter. No Serious Meissen Collector should be without it.
