Authentic 18th century Sevres litron form cup and saucer. It is painted in the arabesque or Salembier style that was popular at the time, with beautiful scrolls, garlands, medallions, and baskets of fruit. I believe the date code for both pieces is "nn" for 1790 and the painter was Francois-Marie Barrat. Additionally, the saucer is incised with the number "46". The diameter of the saucer is 4.75 inches. The cup stands between 2.5 inches and 2.75 inches high. Both pieces are free from any chips, cracks, flea bites, or repairs. The center well of the saucer shows scratches from normal use and possibly a tiny circular spot of glaze loss on the outer purple ring. There is wear to the gold gilding on the saucer's rim. The cup is in wonderful condition with just a few touches of gold wear.
