Royal Doulton Leslie Johnson & Percy Curnock Pink Rose Scenic Tea Cup & Saucer. Fabulously beautiful bone china tea cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted dark and light pink roses and yellow flowers painted by Percy Curnock framed by elaborate raised gold floral scrollwork designs.

The cup has a band of raised gold floral scrollwork on the outside over a white background. Gold gilding to the handle. The cup is signed by the artist Curnock.

The matching saucer has a hand painted courting couple scene with classical columns in the background in the center. This scene is signed by the artist Leslie Johnson.

The scene is framed by hand painted pink roses and blue morning glories framed by elaborate raised gold scrollwork. The floral border is signed by the artist Curnock. Marked on the reverse Royal Doulton Made in England. The saucer also has a retailer's mark in gold for Ovington Brothers New York. This is the most fantastic Doulton cup I've ever seen. No crazing, chips, cracks, or wear to the gilding. The cup measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 5/8 inches wide.
