Pair Paris Porcelain Portrait Cups & Saucers, Sevres Style

  
This pair of tea cups and saucers was produced in France by a Paris decorator before 1850. They are not signed by the. The saucers are 5 1/8 inches in diameter. The cups are 2 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. Porcelain is very thin and translucent.

The lady is Duchess de Mazarin once mistress of King Charles II. Gentleman is unidentified but of obvious high position. Their portraits are hand painted in reserves on the front of. They are framed with delicate, etched gold frames. The bodies of the cups and saucers are colored.
