Meissen Hand Painted Mushroom Fig Fruits & Gold Cup & Saucer Circa 1817-1824
The cup is decorated with hand painted mushroom, fig, and fruits. Gold gilding along the edge and gold highlights to the figural handle. Marked on the bottom with the blue underglaze crossed swords mark with a Roman numeral I below, used by Meissen between 1817 and 1824. Has some wear to the gilding and two flakes to the foot rim of the cup. The cup measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 3 3/4 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
