Machin Pattern 340 Hand Painted Imari Style Landscape Tea Cup & Saucer C. 1810 Nice British porcelain tea cup and saucer. Decorated in the Imari style in purple, cobalt, orange, green, and gold with a hand painted figure on a bridge connecting two buildings. Marked on the bottom 340.

Pictured in Machin Porcelain and Earthenwares on page 81. Has some wear to the gilding, crazing typical of soft paste porcelain, and several hairlines to sides of the saucer that do not quite reach the edge. The cup measures approximately 4 1/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 3/8 inches wide.
