The twig handle on the cups are solidly painted with the same gold paint. The inside of the cup is a high white. CONDITION: While this set is classified as used, its condition is superb. We can find no defects or damage.
There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines. The set is clean & white on the bottom.The gold on the rim is in exceptional condition with extremely minor stacking wear on the saucers. DIMENSIONS: The cups have a diameter of 3 1/2" with a height of 2 1/16". The deep saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4" with a height of 7/8". Coiffe started the prolific Limoges porcelain factory and studio during the mid-1870's and his son, E. Coiffe, continued the operation starting in 1887 and continuing until the mid-1920's.
This mark was used from 1891 to 1914. The bottom of 7 of the saucers is marked as "Made exclusively for Virgin & Young Jewelers Macon GA" whereas 1 saucer says Made Exclusively for L.
