This porcelain is HAND PAINTED & GOLD PLATTED. Made in Hungary, Herend FIRST CLASS BAT! The Battyhany pattern captivates with its noble, yet playful distinction. The lines of the snow-white porcelain are emphaized by blue contours, each with a partner painted in gold. The unassuming gold plant motifs, sprend out like a fan, lend an air of discriminating grace to these pieces.

Among the first purchasers of the décor was the aristocratic Battyhány family, including Lajos Battyhány, prime minister during a brief, tragic interlude of independence in 1848-49. The name remembers him still. Cup (711): 1,97" x 2,75" 5 x 7 cm. Saucer (711): 4,72 12 cm. NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, NO REPAIRS!
