An antique Dr Wall period open crescent mark Worcester porcelain cup and saucer, gilded and painted with fruits and flowers. This cup and saucer set dates from before 1783. The saucer is just over 5 inches diameter and the cup is approximately 2.5 inches tall.
Both pieces are in outstanding condition with no chips, no cracks, no fleabites, and there is very little wear to the decoration. There are some typical manufacturing flaws like a glazed and decorated flea bite on the inside of the saucer rim, and a small glazed and decorated kiln crack on the cup rim (the tip of the pen is pointing to it), and some specks of residue in the porcelain - it was made with these.
