BPM Germany Buckau Porcelain Manufactory Oversized Covered Cup & Saucer c. 1850

  

Hand decorated oversized covered cup and saucer. The decoration consists of pink roses, blue flowers and gold. The mark is Buckau Porcelain Manufactory (BPM) and dated to about 1850. There are no chips or cracks.

There is some loss of gold, which is to be expected. The cup stands 4 1/2 inches tall and the saucer is 6 1/2 inches across. I included the mark reference from MARKS ON GERMAN, BOHEMIAN AND AUSTRIAN PORCELAIN by Robert Rontgen.
