From a smoke free affluent estate, this lovely Meissen cup, saucer and plate set dates from circa 1950's or earlier. Each piece is marked as shown with strike lines, under the glaze, indicating that there are slight imperfections in the porcelain. Difficult to tell how many lines there are because they are under the glaze and smooth. I truly don't see any flaws but Meissen prides itself on the highest quality of work so if there's the slightest imperfection, it will have these marks. I have seen these strike marks before, rough and clearly evident, never UNDER THE GLAZE which is usually indicative of an older piece but not always.
The cup measures approximately 3" by 3.75" in diameter at the top, the saucer 6.50" in diameter scooped upwards and the plate 7.50" in diameter also slig. I note no chips, cracks, hairlines, fleabites of noticeable paint wear. Note that I deal mostly with old/vintage/antique/used items so condition will seldom be mint or MIB. Sometimes I do offer new pieces that have been bought second hand however they remain in their original packaging and appear to have never been used. They will be listed as new. While I do wash and/or clean everything it may not be to your standards so a little extra cleaning might be needed.
Again please review all pictures provided and excuse any glare from light, flash or shadows captured by the camera. They will not be accepted.
