Exquisite Decorative DEMITASSE CUP & Deep SAUCER from Germany Tiefenfurth Porcelain Factory P. DESCRIPTION: This beautiful demitasse cup & deep saucer set was hand painted using the multicolor Dresden Flowers color palette with gold. Both the cup & saucer are scalloped and trimmed in gold on the rims. The handle and foot of the cup are also trimmed in gold. The inside of the cup has a 1/2 wide band of scrollwork. The cup's handle is split at the top to form 2 feather like embossed designs and the bottom of the handle is also embossed.

All of this embossing is highlighted in gold. CONDITION: While this set is classified as used, the condition is superb with one exception.

One of the points on the saucer's rim has a smooth flake. See photos #15 & #16. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines. There is no wear on the gold or paint. DIMENSIONS: The cup has a diameter of 3" and a height of 2 1/4" holding a capacity of 4 ounces.

The deep coupe saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4" and a height of 1 1/8". HISTORY/MARKS: This factory was founded by Louis Lowinsohn in 1885 and acquired by P.

He left the factory in 1916. This set has the blue "crown with the S" mark and Germany in gold on it. Please view all pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
