19th century gilded white bisque swan-form cup with oval saucer. Josephine was known for her excellent decorative style.
The saucer has a red printed M. Imp de Sevres, France mark.The swan cup is unmarked, as was often the case in early period porcelain, including porcelain manufactured by Sevres. Sevres factory, the French imperial porcelain manufacture, produced high quality porcelain items famous throughout the world.
Swan cup: H- 3 1/4"(from bottom to neck high point) L- 4 3/4". Saucer : W- 4 3/4" L- 5 3/4". Condition: Very good antique condition wear consistent with age. Minor gold wear to the gilding, some scratches from prior use. No evidence of crazing, no chips, cracks, hairline or restorations. Please see photos for details.
