(Initial) K (Klingenberg) D (Charles Dwenger) Limoges, France, hand painted matching cups and saucers, circa. Klingegberg was an artisan Limoges painter before opening his own company with Charles Dwenger in the early 1880's. Their short-lived company was only in existence until 1910. The A K D FRANCE makers mark of their products is clearly visible on the bottom of all cups.
Pictures will show there are 6 individually painted designs, 5 in beautifully colored flowered cups and saucers, and 1 red with colored grapes. Cups and saucers are hand painted and have a gold gilt border for each cup and saucer.The open handles on the cup also have an attractive heavy gold gilt. This unique set is incredibly impecable in its condition. Each cup and saucer will be wrapped in bubble wrap and the entire set will be placed in a zippered case. Cups have a 3" diameter, while the saucers are 5 1/2". On the bottom of 2 of the 6 saucers, the name; H.
Baker is found, one in green (R is hardly visible) and one in gold that appears to have been added at a later date.
