Antique Porcelain de Paris Scenic Cup & Saucer Porcelaine Vieux French Old Scene

  
A really fun cup and saucer made by one of the Paris or Limoges region makers in the 19th century. The cup is nicely hand painted with a scene that goes most of the way around that includes three people in Roman garb doing different things in a simple landscape. Some gold trim to the edges and handle. The saucer has three crossed torch designs along the rim with a leaf design in between them and some gold trim.

A very nice set that is in good condition apart from a little bit of wear to the gilding. The cup is marked with a gild C with a dot to either side. Not sure if it truly is a maker's mark or just a gilder's mark. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter.

The saucer is 0.75 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. France de Tasse 19thC Szenenetasse.
