Antique Nymphenburg Trompe L'Oeil Faux Bois Porcelain Demitasse Cup & Saucer PC

  

Offered here for your consideration is a fine and rare, antique Nymphenburg trompe l'oeil decorated porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Both pieces finely hand painted with faux paper panels with puce landscapes that appear nailed to faux bois ground. Each with a partial impressed Shield mark for Nymphenburg to the base. It is in overall good to fair, as-pictured, used estate condition with some fine & light glaze and surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

There is a chip to the foot of the cup, a crack with chipping to the foot rim of the saucer and some rubbing and wear to the painted decoration of both pieces. The impressed marks on the cup is slightly obsured by a firing flaw.
