A saucer made by Niderviller in the late 18th century. It is hand painted with four nice blue cornflowers as well as a gold trim to the edge. The blue Cornflowers were a favorite of Marie Antoinette and became quite popular during this period in France. Once finds it on piece from all sorts of makers! The saucer is marked with their under glaze blue interlaced double C mark as shown underneath.
The piece is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The piece is in decent condition with some wear to the gold trim as well as the central flower design as shown. Still a very nice example in a hard to find design for this maker. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like Chantilly, Sevres and so on.
