Antique Meissen Wolfsohn Pink Gilt Porcelain Chocolate Clawfoot Snake Cup Saucer. TITLE: Antique Meissen Wolfsohn Pink Gilt Porcelain Chocolate Clawfoot Snake Cup Saucer DESCRIPTION: Fabulous antique Meissen chocolate cup and saucer. This rare set dates to the late 19th/early 20th century and is superbly crafted and detailed. The set is made of fine Meissen porcelain, the chocolate cup having an ovoid-shaped body supported by three claw feet and with intertwined serpent handle. Both pieces are hand-painted in the Helena Wolfsohn style with rose pink panels adorned with floral bouquets and interspersed with romantic pastoral scenic panels, the whole with fanciful rocaille gilt borders. The bottom of the saucer is marked with the painted Meissen crossed swords mark. This incredible set will make a fine addition to any Meissen collection! CONDITION: The set presents beautifully and is in very good antique condition, with minor wear and patina commensurate with age. There is minimal loss to gilding. Please review all photos before purchasing. DIMENSIONS: cup 3-5/8" in length, 2-3/4" in diameter, 3" in height; saucer 5-7/8" in diameter, 1-1/4 in height. Your satisfaction is important to us.
