CONDITION: Slight roughness to foot rim of cup and slight wear to cup gold rim. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1750.
It has first quality crossed swords marks under the glaze. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep.The cup is 1 7/8 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/8 inches. The set is beautifully hand painted with a puce colored, fish scale border and fruits and flowers. They are scattered about the surface in a delightful array. This pattern was much desired and copied by Herend and many other porcelain manufacturers. The Post Office requires this.
