Antique Hirsch Dresden Tea Cup & Saucer, Floral Garlands
CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches.
The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 3/4 inches. The fine translucent porcelain is all hand painted. Swags of flowers tumble into the center of the saucer and inside the cup. Heart shaped wreathes of flowers are joined together with the flower swags by tiny gilded swags.
There is fancy hand gilding on the rims and tiny flower buds around the outside of the cup. This is a delightful cup and saucer with wonderful detail and lots of appeal.
