CONDITION: Slight wear to gilding in well of saucer. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1913, according to the date cipher on the bottom. It was made special order for Tiffany in New York.
The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches. The cup is 2 1/8 tall with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The set is made of highly translucent bone china. The decoration is in the art nouveau style.
There are gold medallions containing pink roses on the cup and saucer. The trunks of trees seem to meander from the ground up to the leafy branches. The gilding is accented with the most delicate beading and highlights.The Post Office requires this.
