Antique Capodimonte Demitasse Cup & Saucer, People Partying

  

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Italy by Capodimonte in the early 20th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches.

The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches. Both pieces are molded in high relief. The scene with figures are all hand painted.

There is so much activity, drinking wine, playing instruments, dancing and having a ball. Some of them are half dressed or undressed. There is a lovely bouquet of flowers in the center of the saucer. The twisted stem handle and rims of each piece are trimmed in gold.
