A nice double handled cup & saucer made by Doccia / Ginori in the mid 19th century. Probably a hot chocolate cup. The cup is decorated with biblical or mythological scenes in relief all around that are hand painted very nicely.
It has a red coral branch handle to either side. The saucer has the usual really neat relief design with swags of relief flowers in between. The set is in great condition with some very minor wear to the gilding and a few tiny black firing spots from when it was made. Both pieces are faintly marked with the under glaze blue crown over the letter N as shown. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.75 inches in diameter, the cup is 3 inches tall and just under 3 inches in diameter. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like KPM, Cozzi and so on.
