A fun cup and saucer made by Amstel in about 1809. Both pieces are hand painted with nice scene of a bird on a tree or bush branch with a gold trim to the edge and handle. The set is in great condition with some wear to the gold trim of the cup as shown. Nothing too bad and the two pieces display perfectly.
Both are marked with the above glaze black Amstel mark that is quite rare. Also an incised letter K to the saucer and script L to the cup. The cup is just over 2.375 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.375 inches. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and just under 5 inches in diameter.
