A great cup and saucer made by Worcester around 1762. Both are decorated with Hancock's L'Amour pattern prints in black which are very nice. The cup has a bell shape to it and has the rare wishbone handle. It is has the print including a gardener with roller with the backside having the Garden Statuary print to it. Black line around the edge.
The saucer has the print with a rococo urn on it as well as the roller on the ground below. The set is unmarked but the print on the saucer has RH Worcester and an anchor in the print. Nice thin porcelain with a green translucency. The set is in superb condition with a small flaw to the porcelain in the backside print of the cup, a small spot of staining near the bottom handle of the cup and some staining to the saucer by the tree on the right side. Probably from the firing process and definitely not some sort of restoration!
The cup is 2.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.125 inches. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.625 inches in diameter. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like Derby, Bow and so on.
