Antique 18thC Meissen Porcelain in Tischchenmuster style teabowl / cup & Saucer dating to the 1740s , may be early. It is hand painted with their in famous hand painted Tischchenmuster style (little table design / motif) in puce and under glaze blue and highlighted in gold enamel. The interior composition of the tea bowl is amazing, rural scene painted in the center , indianische flowers all around and beautiful European dressed lady sitting near upper rim.The saucer has as similar composition. The center of medallion decorated with underglaze blue and gold highlighted enamel floral branch with bird in Chinoiserie style and beautiful siting European dressed.
Lady near the upper rim. Bowl and the saucer is marked underneath with the Meissen crossed swords marks as well as a blue painter's mark on the foot ring and an impressed number. Condition: excellent for its age. Two fleabite chips very tiny.
Very light ware to the gilding. Couple pitting on the rim of the cup (my opinion from my experience making ceramics that happened during firing process not from physical damage).
