A nice cup and saucer made by Royal Vienna in the 18th century before they used date codes which means pre 1783. Don't think it was too much before that so probably about 1780. The set is hand painted with a scene in the center of a cherub sitting on a cloud. Nice double trim to the rim. The gold trim on the very edge was done in two different shades of gold which adds a nice effect.
The cup has a nice handle fairly typical to Vienna porcelain - intertwined branches. The set is in great condition with a little wear to the saucer scene and a black firing spot on the inside of the cup. The cup is 2.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.875 inches. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Both are marked with the under glaze blue shield mark as well as an impressed number 1 or something along those lines.Wien Austrian Austria Untertasse Szene Szenentasse antique.
