18th C Dihl Et Guerhard Paris Porcelain Mustard Pot In Cornflower Pattern

  

ESCRIPTION : Here is a late 18th century Dihl et Guerhard porcelain mustard pot, cover and integral stand. Hand painted in the cornflower patter.

The handle is gilt lined to each side with a gilt pattern to the top and running down the back. The finial has a gilt star like pattern. The mustard pot and stand is made all in one. The cover has two cut outs, one for the spoon and one foe taking in the handle.

Th inside of the mustard pot at the top is dry edged. Marked to the base with red stenciled MANUFR, de MM, Guerhard et Dihl a Paris which is a little obscured by the vent hole to the base. According to my marking book this dates between 1780 to 1786. SIZE : The total height measures 4 inches and 6 inches at widest point. Weighs 300 g before packing.

CONDITION : Apart from very minimal gilt ware the mustard pot, cover and stand are all in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or restoration.
