Paris Porcelain Tea Cup & Saucer, Sevres Style
It has a Sevres marking on the bottom. The saucer is 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 1/8 inches tall and has a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The front of the cup has a scene of a lady and gentlemen, in18th century dress, on horseback. The painting is done with exquisite detail and bright coloring. They appear to be off for a hunt. The saucer has a garden scene.
Elaborate raised gilding frames the scene on the cup and around the border of the saucer. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. This is a splendid work of art inspired by the designs from the Sevres.
