N749 C1833 Kpm Berlin Porcelain Large Cup & Saucer Dr Waldeck Family
C1833 KPM BERLIN PORCELAIN LARGE CUP & SAUCER DR WALDECK FAMILY. An antique German KPM Berlin porcelain empire shape cabinet cup and saucer. The cup has been decorated custom inscription as a gift from Dr Waldeck to his inlaws for a wedding aniversary. The cup has beaded borders, a snake handle and tthree paw feet. Both pieces have been lavishly gilded.
Provenance: Relating to Dr Edward Waldeck & family (born c1806). KPM and Orb mark to base. Saucer measures 6 1/4 16cm diameer.
Cup measures 5 13cm tall. Weight 380 grams (measurements and weights where specified are approximate). Small chip to snake head top of handle. Gilding generally good with occasional wear (mainly to centre of saucer).
