Antique Sevres porcelain pot Hebert and cover, Chappuis l'aine, 18th century

  
Absolutely stunning sugar pot Hebert troisieme grandeur from the late 18th century. From my own research I conclude. Made by Manufacture Royale de Sevres in the 1770.

Hand painted with landscape vignettes of bird on branches with gilt dentil rim and gilt banded footrim. Lid is painted in the same fashion with gorgeous daffodil porcelain flower in relief on top.

Marked with blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter R for 1770, painters mark C P for Antoine Joseph Chappuis l'aine. The artist Chappuis laîne was working at Sèvres, being apprenticed as a maker in 1756, became a painter in 1761, became the deputy head of kilns in 1782 , and. In charge of the kilns for the final year of his life in 1787.
